Sarah Murdock and Becky Philo have joined our team to provide clinically sound Christian counseling services at a reduced rate! Often, when people think about interns, what comes to mind is someone young with little to no experience. However, in the world of counseling, this is not true.
Sarah Murdock has been married for almost 20 years and is the mother of three adolescents. She has previous experience in ministry, teaching, and coaching. Sarah brings her life experience to counseling and enjoys collaborating with clients to find healing and transformation through integrating their faith and experiences. She works with adolescents and adults struggling with anxiety, depression, life transitions, trauma, parenting, and women’s issues. Sarah is also certified in premarital and marital counseling.
Becky Philo is a wife, mother, and grandmother with a passion for people of all ages and stages of life. She uses her certificate in trauma to help those who desire to walk in freedom and have positive mental health. Becky also serves as a “Renew” counselor and layperson at her local church. As a counselor-in-training, her heart desires to provide hope for people who may feel all hope is lost.
Restoration’s counseling interns have a wide array of life experience, and have completed all coursework legally required to become counselors. They have demonstrated a high degree of proficiency in their ability to communicate and help others. In addition, all interns present information from their cases (keeping confidentiality) to experienced counselor supervisors who ensure that the interns are providing their clients with the highest standard of care. When you see one of our counseling interns, you essentially get the benefit of two brains thinking about your case for the price of one!
