Premarital

Premarital counseling is extremely beneficial as a preparation to navigate some of the challenges that arise within the marriage relationship. You will become prepared and equipped to deal with these situations with care and concern for your partner as you get to know each other more deeply and learn to anticipate areas that could become problems in the future. Many factors affect us and make us who we are. Exploring and understanding yourself and your partner can create sensitivity so that you can lovingly engage with each other in the joys and struggles.

We offer individualized premarital counseling that covers key areas relating to marital compatibility and preparedness. Several of our therapists utilize the Prepare/Enrich exam to help couples learn more about their readiness for marriage. Other therapists use SYMBIS or RightPath assessments, so please check out our page for more information about these assessments.

The typical premarital counseling services span six to eight sessions, but this will be determined by the therapist during one of the first sessions.

Some of the topics covered in premarital counseling include:

  • Communication
