Who Are You?

Ever try to join an existing conversation when no one is telling you the back story because they already know it?  It can feel very isolating, right? Here at Restoration, a new conversation has been going on behind the scenes and I want to let you in on the details. You also may be asking, “who are you?’   In an effort to better serve you, Restoration Counseling has added a new therapist; namely me! Yes, I am Debbie Turner and I am excited about meeting you and hearing your input to the conversation.  Before we get started, you may want to know a bit about me. First and foremost, I am a wife for 37 years (has it really been that long?), a mother of 4 children (3 off and married, one still at home), and a grandmother of 5 beautiful grandchildren (of course).  I accepted Christ as my Lord and Savior at age 14 and have loved learning about God and others since then, so getting to do that through counseling is a win win for me. I enjoy working with adults and couples regarding relational issues and am Gottman (www.Gottman.com) Level 2 trained (check out their website to learn about their fantastic couple assessment tool). Recently trained by Postpartum Support International (www.postpartum.net) to assess and treat pregnancy and post birth mood issues, I am excited to offer this unique support to the community. I am a 2014 graduate of Richmont Graduate University (www.richmont.edu -a Christ centered graduate program) where I earned my Master’s in Marriage and Family therapy.  My ultimate goal in therapy is to help you grow in your relationship with Christ so He can heal you, transform you, and then restore you using trusted counseling tools and a healing connection.
