Finding the therapist that is right for you or your loved one can be an overwhelming experience, but I’m glad you’re taking this step! Here are some things to know about me – I love variety and working with individuals of all ages (older adults, young adults, teenagers, children, and families). Life transitions, stress, and challenges can throw us off course, and this is where I love to help!
Whether it’s a profound loss, parenting hiccup, anxious child, or stress related to your career – I believe people are resilient and counseling can and does help. I believe in seeking support for major and minor concerns. It is a joy when my clients move quickly through “bumps in the road” and when they invite me to come along for a longer journey after a life-altering event. When we partner with one another, we become more capable of handling what life throws our way.
Here are some things to know about me:
I am a licensed professional counselor in the state of Georgia, I am also a registered play therapist and a certified professional counselor supervisor. I’m an active, educationally focused therapist who enjoys using both evidence-based and out-of-the-box approaches with children and adults. I identify as a Christian and can incorporate Christianity into counseling only if that is something my client desires. I listen to the interests, knowledge, and experience of my clients and incorporate them into my therapeutic approaches. We are influenced by the behavior of others socially, therefore I am open to including others (friends/ family members/ teachers) in the therapy experience. My 20+ years of experience working with diverse populations in a variety of settings has prepared me to work well with many people.
