Khambrel Rembert, Graduate Student Intern

Graduate Student Intern

Are you feeling stuck or overwhelmed by life’s challenges, wondering if change is even possible? I believe it is, and I’d love to help you get there. My name is Khambrel, and I’m passionate about walking alongside people like you through seasons of difficulty towards healing and personal growth.

The human experience is consistent in the fact that every human being has encountered hardship. Regardless of your age, gender, or background, we all face moments that impact us mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually. The weight of these things can be very heavy, but you do not have to carry them alone. Receiving help does not make you weak; rather, it is a display of the strength of your resilience.

Does your mind race constantly with an array of anxious thoughts? Do you find yourself struggling immensely to focus due to feeling burnt out? Do you replay life moments on loop, wondering if you made the right choice or messed something up? Are there wounds you’ve traumatically suffered in the past that have been aggravated and are causing you deep pain in the present? Are you currently battling shame or guilt, grieving a version of your life that you wish you were currently living?  Navigating these challenges on my own and experiencing how powerful safe, supportive spaces can be led me to pursue therapy, not solely as a career but as a calling.

As a graduate student intern with 4+ years of mental health professional experience serving youth, adolescents, parents, and families in their respective journeys of managing depression, anxiety, ADHD, autism, and identity issues, my biggest takeaway is that everyone deserves and needs a safe space to grow. This level of nurturing safety is what I would love to provide you. There is something truly beautiful about watching an individual learn how to climb up and over a mountain in their life that they once thought was too high.

My person-centered approach creates a warm atmosphere in which the pathway to growth is specifically tailored to your need(s). I enjoy the implementation of creative approaches such as Narrative Therapy, but am well-versed in the utilization of techniques that stem from Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and Solution-Focused Therapy as well.

Taking the first step toward healing can feel overwhelming, but you deserve to experience a healed version of yourself. If anything you’ve read here resonates with you, I’d be honored to walk alongside you. You can meet with me virtually or in person at our Roswell office.
