Welcome! Whether you’re new to counseling or returning, I want to congratulate you on taking the next step in your journey. My philosophy is that counseling is for everyone. Just like we take our cars to get the oil changed, mental health works the same way. I enjoy helping individuals 18+ notice when their “check engine” lights are coming on. Then we can take a look under the hood before any costly maintenance needs to be done. I have experience counseling individuals with issues such as trauma, PTSD, grief, depression, anxiety, boundaries, life transitions, spiritual abuse, and emotional abuse. I previously worked for a college ministry, and I love walking alongside college students and women in (or formerly in) ministry.
It can feel selfish to focus on yourself, but you deserve a space where you have someone’s undivided attention. Just like your car needs the oil changed, so do you! I would be honored to collaborate with you on trauma-informed therapy around the parts of life that are the most difficult to talk about. I also like to integrate theories having to do with early childhood experiences and caregiver attachment bonds, along with emotion-focused theories.
My clients learn that it is okay for them to take up space. Clients tell me that our work together has helped them make and keep boundaries with people in their lives and that they are less overwhelmed by life’s problems.
I see clients in person at Restoration’s Woodstock location. I also see clients virtually. If you’d like to schedule a session with me, reach out to our administration team at admin@
