What if I told you that being a person of strength, resiliency, and humility is saying, “I don’t know,” and “Can you help me?”.
Often times we’re told that we’re supposed to “have it all together”; that strength means “you’re supposed to know everything or figure it all out by yourself otherwise, you’ve failed”; and if you are feeling fear and hurt to hide it. You don’t have to when you’re here.
If you’re seeking therapy for the first time or have previously sought out help that fell short, I want to honor you and support you in finding the awareness, tools, healing, and growth you may be looking for to live the life you desire. So welcome; I’m glad you’re here.
Have you ever asked yourself:
- Why can’t I just stop myself and calm down quicker?
- How do I help my child calm down more quickly?
- How can I feel comfortable within myself and with the people closest to me?
- Is this normal?
- Will I be struggling with this for the rest of my life?
- Am I able to heal, and what does healing look like?
- Who am I?
- Why can’t my significant other and I just talk and be close consistently?
- How can our family just get along better?
- I want more, but what does that look like?
I am here to help.
In seeking therapy, you may feel a sense of hope, anxiety, and uncertainty – all at the same time. I’ve been there. Therapy with me is collaborative, guiding, and courageously honest. Our work will focus on your strengths and struggles to help you discover anything that keeps you from being you. We will build and practice the tools that best work for you to promote lasting health. I take a guiding approach and shift between following and leading to support you on your path to the healing and growth you desire.
I come from a Christian background and incorporate my faith to the extent that you request. I enjoy working with adolescents, families, and couples. My passion is to come alongside males, ranging from adolescents to adults, who want to grow in awareness of themselves and bring resolution to recurring problems. These problems might be pornography, anger, anxiety, depression, isolation, emotional dysregulation, loss, grief, or spiritual confusion.
My other focus is helping couples who may simply want to enhance their marriage by better understanding and loving their partner. I also work with couples in conflictual relationships struggling with disconnection, avoidance, and isolation.
Clients tell me they felt fully understood and came away with the understanding, answers, resources, and healing they had wanted for so long but couldn’t find or express adequately. They have often said they had the space to process and to permit themselves to be deeply honest, connecting within themselves and their significant other or family – sometimes for the first time.
I’d welcome the opportunity to get to know and support you. If you’d like to schedule an appointment, please contact our admin team or me.
